The North Shore YMCA Theatre Company proudly presents Disney's High School Musical JR! SIXTY young actors from the North Shore have been hard at work learning lines, catchy music, and show-stopping choreography to stage one of Disney's most iconic film franchises, and you definitely won't want to miss this show! Synopsis: It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well. Based on the 2006 movie-musical franchise. About Us: The Y Theatre Co. produces full-scale musicals and plays for young actors ages 6 & up in Salem, Cape Ann, and in conjunction with public schools in Manchester/Essex.
