Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting for Lulu’s Bakery and Pantry

Lulu’s Bakery and Pantry is an American bakery with a southern specialization in top grade sweet and savory products that are also familiar and approachable. Lulu’s founders and operators, Nikki and Jim Economides, are both trained culinary professionals who each have decades of experience in the industry. Nikki is a Johnson and Wales graduate and was the Director of Food and Beverage Operations for the Finale Dessert Company before launching her own company, Fixx Chocolates in 2013. (You probably already know Fixx from the Salem Farmers Market!). Jim co-founded both the All Star Sandwich Bar in Cambridge, as well as Blackstrap BBQ in Winthrop. Nikki and Jim moved to Salem in 2017 and had searched the North Shore to find a space for Lulu’s up until last year when they discovered the current space on Derby St!
